Webmaster and SEOMozilla to Release New Firefox Every 6 Weeks
To make itself more competitive, Mozilla decided on releasing a new version of Firefox every six weeks, the same thing Google is doing with their Chrome browser. They have actually released Firefox 5, even though users just upgraded to Firefox 4 a few months ago.
But according to Mozilla, Firefox 4 was the browser's big change bringer. The transition time between Firefox 3 and Firefox 4 was too huge. FF 4 changed a lot from FF3, especially the interface and how stuff works within the browser. Mozilla started their fast release versions with Firefox 5. And as expected, it did not have huge changes like how FF 4 changed from FF 3. As a matter of fact, the interface was hardly touched in FF5. But its 'internal organs' were updated tremendously for better performance. And according to Mozilla, users should expect the same kind of updates they'll get every six weeks; less changes on the interface, more on the behind-the-scenes features.
