Google's core of business remains in search, but the giant technology company proved that it can make money aside from just search. Google's quarterly revenue announcement revealed that aside from search, Google bagged hefty profits not just from search, but from other newer businesses as well, particularly with display ads and mobile. Google is known for their text link ads that is bundled with every search in their website. Google dominated the category and is now planning to step into other company's expertise. Display ads are first associated with Yahoo!, and not surprisingly took 15.3 percent of the market. Facebook follows in at second for the most profitable display ads with 9.7 percent of the market. According to expert, Google wants to chase after the two and is expecte to snatch a total of 6% of the market in the near future. Mobile ads on the other hand played the market good for Google. Android, the mobile operating system developed by Google, is doing wonders for them and is being used by its users to how it should be. According CEO Eric Schmidt, Android phones have been a "phenomenal success" and that is is hevily used to search the internet, thereby creating huge amount of revenues for mobile ads.
